The Art of Living Silver Jubilee Celebrations are simply mind blowing. There are so many exciting things happening. I am currently tied up with the International Conference on Human Values and other events. It is a celebraion which will remain in your consciousness for liftetimes, for whoever will be physically present there. Bubbly Kiki from Los Angels!
| Bubbly Kiki from Los Angels! A bunch of people from Los Angels were practising Hiphop dance, while I was sitting in the amphitheatre. They will be playing it in the Art of Living Silver Jubilee on Sunday. They did not have any music player to play their music. So they were just practising like “one, two, three, four, one two three four…”. Well the music does not mean anything much! Hiphop musich is more about rhythm and beat. It is an African music with an American twist. Kiki, who is teaching them dance is so excited about Silver Jubilee: i am kiki from los angeles, where i sing, dance, teach spanish and play i have come to the Silver Jubilee with every ounce of enthusiasm i have in order to celebrate our beloved Guruji and all of our family around the whole wide world. HoW inCREdiBLE is THIS!!!! we are ALL here! we will sing and dance and send love around the WHOLE WORLD. HURRAY!! i am SOOOO HapPY to be here. everything is perfect and BeaUTiful! | Enthu Heidi! While I was sitting near the travel desk and working on my laptop, I met this enthusiastic lady who worked in drug deadiction and rehabilitation. Here she is coordinating travel and hotel accommodation for the devotees who have come for Silver Jubilee from her country. Following is what she has to share: ________________________________________ I'm from Norway,I am a PhD in Sociology and met Art of Living 10 years ago, and I loved it from the first day! The knowledge and practice are so well designed, that I felt the benefits immediately.If I feel tired, I have these beautiful techniques to rejuvenate myself. Also I feel more positive and giving towards other people. I've taken the Teacher Training Program and I that has made me a stronger person, physically, mentally, emotionally and professionally. I love the way AOL shapes the people into better humans with the commitment to seva (service) to make the world a better place to live. Sri Sri Ravishankar’s invitation to the Art of Living Silver Jubilee
The whole world belongs to you. But man identifies himself with his profession, religion, culture, nationality, language, region or sex and, maybe, as a human being. People today are stuck in religious practices, symbols & customs, and have forgotten the spiritual core – human values of compassion, friendliness, co-operation, peace of mind, joy… and a smile that is not fragile!
In a society plagued with domestic and communal violence, we need to globalize wisdom. Though we have advanced technologically, we have cared very little for the emotional and spiritual needs of people. A sense of belongingness with the whole world – rising above the narrow considerations of colour, culture or background, is the need of the hour. We are not living in isolated compartments – the world has become one family.
As a major initiative towards globalizing wisdom and fostering human values, we are hosting a three-day International Conference on Human Values from the 17 th -19 th of February, 2006.
This conference is a wonderful occasion for all leaders of society who are concerned about terrorism and fundamentalism. We need to look back and learn from the mistakes of the past; we need to understand what is lacking in society and how we can nurture the human values without which this earth cannot be sustained.
Knowledge and spiritual awareness should go hand in hand with social and political systems. I think religious leaders, political leaders, business establishments and social workers should get together and spread the message of unity. All religions and traditions have a common value system. These shared values have to reach every corner of the world. Even if one pocket of the world remains ignorant of these values, the world will not be a safe place. I often say religion is the banana skin and spirituality is the banana. The misery in the world is because we throw away the banana and are holding on to the skin.
I hope this conference will reinforce the vision of a one world family
